What is DisOccupied?

A movement that amplifies the companies and brands we SHOULD be supporting. Making it easier for you to DISOCCUPY your minds, closets, wallets, and lives from any organization that continues to be complicit in this injustice. We wont stop until every product from every complicit brand anywhere in the world is assigned a comparable alternative that aligns with justice.

How are we funded?

We’re doing the research ourselves, and have paid for web development out of pocket and with the support of friends and family.

What are our goals?

• To pressure businesses to advocate for a just solution in Palestine that ensures every individual is equal.
• To promote socially conscious businesses, so our money is not used to further violence and inequality.
• To challenge the economic and political influence of multinational companies and lobby groups.
• To extend this action to the struggles in China, Congo, Sudan, Haiti, and elsewhere.  We're starting with Palestine, but we see you.

How can you help?

We’ve been overwhelmed with brand submissions and need help from volunteer researchers. You'd be joining an existing team from all over the world.  We provide research methodology and helpful resources for you to use, and also an active Discord group where you can get support. If interested please send a message using the Contact Form. Through our involvement with Tech For Palestine, we’ve met some amazing digital talent who live in Palestine. We would love to hire them full-time for help with data management, content creation, and IT administration to keep the site running smoothly.
