Lush has been very vocal with sales of their watermelon soap directly supporting relief in Gaza. There has been skepticism about the sourcing of olive oil in some of their products. While we would like to see Lush change the labeling from “Israel” to “Occupied Territories,” it's important to consider the direct quotes from Sindyanna, the organization they source their olive oil from: “Sindyanna’s olive oil comes from both local olive growers and two olive groves leased from Arab farmers.” Additionally, the website highlights: “It’s an activity through which we show the close cooperation between Arab and Jewish societies, demonstrating that we can have a cooperative economy and work together to build a more just and equal society.”
