Fast Retailing is a Japanese company that owns several brands including Uniqlo and Theory. Uniqlo has provided over 41 million pieces of clothing and $25 million to UNHCR to serve vulnerable populations in 58 countries, including 42,000 items to UNRWA in 2016 for vulnerable Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. We are aware that they have been accused of sourcing from Chinese companies that use Uyghur forced labor, but the company has stated that it has “a zero tolerance policy toward any human rights violation”, and that it would “cooperate fully with the investigation to confirm that there is no forced labor” in its supply chain.
