Bobs Red Mill imports couscous from Israel and sells it by the name Pearl Couscous, which it describes on its website as "Israeli Couscous born from the hard times Israel faced between 1949-1959." This period that Bobs Red Mill disingenuously refers to as a time of Israeli suffering was directly after the Naqba in which 750,000 Palestinians were forcefully displaced. We cannot support a company that normalizes Israels atrocities and whitewashes the Naqba and Occupation of Palestine. Furthermore, Bobs Red Mill buying its products from Israel directly supports the economy which helps to fund the IDF and ongoing brutal Occupation.
